What is TB-500?

TB-500 is the synthetic derivative of a peptide naturally produced by your thymus called Thymosin Beta-4.

It belongs to a group of peptides called “beta-thymosins”, which are involved in essential cellular processes such as cell death, cell migration, and the formation of new blood vessels [1].

The latter benefit is especially important, as this process is what allows for the healing of wounds and damaged tissues [2].

Thymosin Beta-4 can also upregulate actin, a cellular protein that is necessary for your muscles to contract [3]. However, there lies one problem with this mechanism…

Thymosin Beta-4 is only produced in small amounts, which thereby limits the speed at which the body can recover from injuries.

This led to the formation of synthetic Thymosin Beta-4, also known as TB-500, which can be injected into the body intramuscularly or subcutaneously.

So the premise is pretty straightforward:

Inject more Thymosin Beta-4 into your body so you can heal wounds faster and recover at a much quicker pace than what would naturally be possible. Many people claim that joint, tendon, ligament and muscle injuries respond especially well to TB-500.

For instance, some football players have been suspected to use TB-500 when they need to heal anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries [4].

One doctor has even gone on record and said the use of peptides like TB-500 has proven to be highly beneficial [5]:

“Quite a few doctors I know are using them because they have so many beneficial effects and so few side effects.

We’re not elite athletes – we live rushed lives that can involve 70 hour weeks so staying fit and getting good sleep is essential – and peptides aid that.”

“Quite a few doctors I know are using them because they have so many beneficial effects and so few side effects.

We’re not elite athletes – we live rushed lives that can involve 70 hour weeks so staying fit and getting good sleep is essential – and peptides aid that.”

But don’t try using it in professional sports, as it is a banned substance and there are many chemical tests which can easily detect its presence in your body [6].

Which begs the question…does Thymosin Beta-4 actually live up to its promise?

Does Thymosin Beta-4 Actually Work?

It cannot be said with medical or scientific certainty if Thymosin Beta-4 actually works in helping people recover from injuries.

With that being said, many “test subjects” have anecdotally reported their results and experience with using the peptide.

Here are just some of the claims you will find:

  • The acute or chronic pain related to the injury disappears pretty quickly
  • Healing of the wound itself is much faster compared to what the body would naturally do
  • Range of motion and flexibility are restored, and improved in rare cases
  • Workouts can be more intense as endurance is improved following injection

Without question, an accelerated rate of recovery is always cited amongst TB-500 “test subjects”.

Other benefits such as improved strength, lean muscle gain, and hair growth are not substantiated by the reports of research subjects.

You may find 1-2 animal studies supporting these claims at best, but in practice it would be highly ineffective to use TB-500 for these purposes.

Due to the fact that many peptide users wish to remain anonymous, you will be hard-pressed to find “before and after” photos of tissue recovery.

But let’s not get caught up in a debate amongst individual reports. Let’s see what the science has to say about the benefits of TB-500!

TB-500 Benefits and Uses

Anecdotal claims about the benefits of TB-500 are one thing, but the science may paint a completely different picture. Let’s investigate what scientists have concluded about Thymosin Beta-4 in legitimate research studies…

Thymosin Beta-4 May Treat Brain Injuries And Disorders

A comprehensive review conducted in 2015 found that Thymosin Beta-4 showed great potential as a regenerative therapy for neurological injury and degradation.

Not only can it promote neuroplasticity in the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system, but by extension it can lead to significant improvements in behavior [7].

Another study conducted in cell cultures discovered Thymosin Beta-4’s ability to stabilize the blood brain barrier, which is another pathway through which it can be beneficial for cognitive health [8].

Thymosin Beta-4 Could Help Repair Various Organ Injuries

Thymosin Beta-4 has been identified as a novel agent for treating liver diseases such as liver fibrosis, in which involves the liver becoming dysfunctional due to excessive scarring [9].

One study conducted in 2019 involved rats who were diagnosed with acute kidney injury caused by ischemia, which can be described as an inadequate supply of blood delivered to the kidney.

Thymosin Beta-4 was able to drastically reduce the damage from the injury and lower the amount of inflammation taking place [10].

And if that wasn’t enough, Thymosin Beta-4’s regenerative effects were also observed in strokes and myocardial infarctions [11].

Thymosin Beta-4 Shows Usefulness For Nerve Cell Damage

This was an interesting application that usually escapes the radar of most peptide enthusiasts.

A patent was announced a few years ago to treat nerve cell damage with Thymosin Beta-4, which is present in conditions such as peripheral neuropathy.

This implies that Thymosin Beta-4 may be useful for treating muscle wasting, paralysis, severe pain, and other symptoms related to peripheral neuropathy [12].

Thymosin Beta-4 Can Lower Chronic Inflammation

A review published in 2018 examined Thymosin Beta-4’s anti-inflammatory effects, and the results were promising.

Not only can Thymosin Beta-4 be used in several diseases related to inflammation, but there are multiple mechanisms through which it exerts its benefits [13].

Thymosin Beta-4 Can Heal Ligament Injuries

Here is the benefit you were waiting for all along!

In rats, Thymosin Beta-4 healed ligament injuries while also restoring biomechanical movement and integrity 4 weeks after surgery was done.

This was evidenced by the collagen fibers being evenly spaced when the injury was fully healed [14].

The verdict is still uncertain regarding joint and bone injuries, but many anecdotal reports from my research subjects indicate that TB-500 may be effective for those purposes.

TB-500 Side Effects

Due to the lack of human clinical trials and studies, the reported TB-500 side effects that you hear about are entirely anecdotal in nature.

This means you’ll need to go through multiple bodybuilding forums and discussion groups to get a clear picture of what you should expect.

But no reports so far have found anything which will lead to significant harm with TB-500 use.

Here are what “test subjects” have claimed to experience when using TB-500:

  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Head rush

Generally, these side effects appear to subside after the body gets used to higher levels of TB-500.

The list of TB-500 side effects presented above are making the following five assumptions:

  1. You are using a PURE bottle of TB-500
  2. You are properly storing it in a cool, dry place devoid of light
  3. You are preparing the peptide and reconstituting it in bacteriostatic water.
  4. You are injecting TB-500 using the proper protocol for safe and sterile injections
  5. You are using a moderate TB-500 dose, or at least a dose your body can appropriately handle.

Of course, this doesn’t exclude the fact that using peptides in general can potentially lead to side effects.

This includes skin irritation, increased water retention, dry mouth, or slightly elevated blood pressure [15].

You may have heard rumors about the link between TB-500 and cancer, but this is based on a mis-interpretation of the scientific literature.

Yes, Thymosin-Beta 4 is usually over-expressed in in organisms with cancer [16]. However, this is because Thymosin Beta-4 levels are elevated in response to the cancer so that new white blood cells can be formed.

The science on this is unclear in either direction, so don’t blindly believe what you read on the Internet.

So what can we conclude from all this?

Based on the anecdotal reports of research subjects, it appears as if TB-500 is generally well tolerated with minimal chances of side effects appearing. But this is not definitive proof, so always use your best judgment when using TB-500 or any other therapeutic peptide.

TB-500 Dosage Guide

So what exactly is the RIGHT TB-500 dose to take for an athlete who wants to accelerate their rate of healing and recovery?

It depends.

Unlike medications which have been around for a long time, there is no universally agreed-upon dosing recommendation for TB-500.

Research subjects are left on their own to figure out what the optimal TB-500 dosage will be for their bodies.

One recommendation which seems to be consistent is taking two doses a week evenly spread throughout the week – Monday and Thursday, for instance.

2-4 mg of TB-500 administered per week seems to be the range in which suggested TB-500 dosing falls into.

Using the two points above, this is what would be considered a maintenance dose for someone who wants to heal an injury.

Some fitness health experts, such as Ben Greenfield, have recommended doses as high as 7-8 mg per week for someone who weights 200 pounds [17].

I even know “test subjects” who recommend a “loading” phase where you take 5 mg per week for 4-6 weeks before returning to a maintenance dose.

Again, how your body responds is 100% unique to you, so take the necessary precautions when deciding what TB-500 dose is right for you.

And just to make sure you’re dosing TB-500 correctly, use a proven peptide dosage calculator to determine how much you should be injecting into your body [18].

Where to Buy TB-500 Online? | 2021 Guide

If you want to buy TB-500 online but don’t know where to start looking, pay close attention to this section.

It will save you a LOT of wasted time and money flushed down the drain.

First off, when you find a legitimate vendor online, you will usually notice a legal disclaimer which makes you second-guess your decision.

It will usually go something like this:

“The products featured on this website are for research purposes ONLY. They are not intended for use in humans or animals. You must be over 21 years of age to legally purchase peptides.

By reading this disclaimer, you are in full agreement that [company name] has not sterilized or tested these peptides for safety and efficacy in drug, medical device, food, cosmetic, commercial, or any other use”

This DOES NOT mean you cannot legally buy TB-500 on the Internet.

The disclaimer is put in place to protect the company for legal reasons, as these peptides are supposed to be formulated for medical research purposes only.

And as with any vendor, you want to make sure that check off all of the usual boxes. Good customer service, assurance of the product’s quality, easy-to-use website, and so on.

I can only give my highest recommendation towards a single vendor, as they are exceptional at fulfilling all of the criteria listed above.

If you are going to purchase PURE TB-500 online from a single source, make sure you get it from Peptide Sciences.

Here are a few reasons why I rank Peptide Sciences as #1 above any therapeutic peptide vendor:

  • World-Class Customer Service: These guys treat every customer as if they were the best one, responding to all communications quickly with straight-forward answers.
  • GREAT Prices: TB-500 is very reasonably priced on this website, and there are some generous discounts for bulk orders.
  • Flexible Payment Options: Whether you want to pay with a well-known credit card, cryptocurrency or a third-party payment app, Peptide Sciences can accommodate your preferred payment method.
  • The HIGHEST Purity Peptides Available: Every peptide featured is 100% USA-made, going through high-performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry to exceed 99% purity and ensure you get the right product in your hands.
  • Lightning-Fast Shipping: Your order is shipped 24 hours after arriving, arriving to American cities in 2-3 business days and international spots in 7-10 days. They even give you FREE shipping if your order is above $200.

Don’t look any further for a vendor, because I can guarantee you they won’t match the incredibly high standards of Peptide Sciences!

P.S: All peptides created and sold by Peptide Sciences are 100% TFA-free! Trifluoroacetic acid is found in many of the peptides from low quality vendors who import from China. While not getting to deep into the science here, TFA can be exceptionally dangerous.

How to Order Thymosin Beta-4 in Your Country

So long as you are responsibly using peptides in the privacy of your home and you aren’t attempting to sell them yourself, you should be able to get TB-500 delivered to your country.

The only restriction you should experience is if your chosen online vendor does not ship peptides to your residence. To my knowledge, there are no rules which restrict the importing of peptides to any given country.

In the worst case scenario, you may have your shipment rejected by customs, but a reputable vendor will re-ship your order or provide you with a full refund.

All you have to do is check the list of available countries when you complete the checkout form for your order of TB-500.

If your country is listed, you can order Thymosin-Beta 4 online. If not, then I’m afraid you’re out of luck.

Call the vendor and ask them if there are any available alternatives for getting TB-500 sent to your house!

TB-500 vs. BPC-157

You’ve probably heard about people dosing TB-500 and BPC-157 together.

But what is BPC-157, exactly?

The “BPC” part stands for “Body Protective Compound”, and unlike the 43 amino acid long TB-500, is much shorter at only 15 amino acids.

It is naturally produced and isolated from the gastrointestinal tract, and is further modified as its sequence is not found in nature. In rat studies, BPC-157 has been touted for its ability to improve bone and joint health, while also having protective effects in the stomach and intestines [19].

So how does BPC-157 work alongside TB-500, if at all?

Both BPC-157 and TB-500 seem to be synergistic with one another, where the former works locally to the site of injury and the latter works across the whole body.

But this is entirely based on what my research subjects have told me and your experience may differ.

If you look for a recommended dosing protocol for using both peptides at the same time, you’ll see something along these lines:

  • BPC-157: 250 mcg taken twice a day
  • TB-500: 2.5 mg taken twice a week in evenly spaced doses throughout the week

This protocol would be run for 4-8 weeks, or at least until the injury is completely healed.

And if you’re looking for the best product that combines both TB-500 and BPC-157, I highly recommend this mixed peptide blend for optimal results.

TB-500 Review | Verdict

So what can we conclude from this review of TB-500?

It is indeed a wonderful therapeutic peptide you can use to accelerate the healing of multiple injuries – muscles, organs, ligaments, and the list goes on.

Provided you are exercising common sense and complete responsibility when you are injecting it, any side effects of TB-500 you experience will be mild in severity and go away pretty quickly.

It won’t work overnight, and you will need to ensure you are completely healed before you resume any physical activity.

But there is no reason to believe it won’t make a big difference in your recovery!
